Bride

I've heard people say thats its bad to meet someone at a bar....boy were they wrong!!  I was bartending at Ebenezer Alehouse in West Seneca and in walked this guy.  Dark hair and eyes, great smile and soooo cute!!  I knew the guy he was with, Brian, an old regular from the bar I previously worked at, but didn't get a chance to talk much to them.  I was able to catch the cute guys name-Kevin.  Over the next few weeks I noticed him more frequently and pretty soon him and his cousin Pat had become my regulars.  It was a fall day and the boys had been drinking with me pretty much all afternoon when Pat invited me over for spaghetti with him and Kevin.  Pat asked for my number to text me directions and when I slid a piece of paper over the bar, I gave Kevin a copy and told him he could have my number too incase Pat would loose it.  The guys left and spent the next hour or two texting me (even though they were still together).  After my shift I text Pat first to let him know I decided not to come over for dinner.  I then text Kevin the same, but also included that I would be at the bar for an after work cocktail if he wanted to come back and keep me company. He quickly responded with "sure!"  Shortly after I received a text from pat "you just put the biggest smile on his face!"

Kevin met me at the bar, we had a few drinks and shared a good night kiss on the back of my car.  I was smitten! <3

And after our first date I think he was too!

I quickly met the family, had my first Adirondack snowmobiling experience, which I loved! (and for those of you who don't know me...I hate the cold!!) and fell in love with the man of my dreams.

Now here we are engaged and getting ready to spend the rest of our lives together!!

Groom

Jackie's story is much more detailed than mine... Most of the time I was at the Alehouse I had a few too many drinks in me.  Thanks mostly to the bartender behind the bar!  The day I first remember really hanging out with Jackie was around Thanksgiving (again at the bar) and we were making Christmas stockings together to decorate the fireplace at Ebenezer.  She was a ton of fun and we had a lot of laughs while we were doing the project.

One thing lead to another and it was time for dinner.  Pat asked her to come for dinner around the corner and I wanted her to come too but he stole my chance to ask first.  I figured I would just get her number from Pat but she handed me a napkin with her number on it right after she gave it to him.

The thing that she didn't know is that I had another date that night.  I was supposed to be leaving in about an hour..my solution was to text her and tell her I wouldn't be able to make it and go back to the bar to meet up with Jackie.  Turned out to be the best choice I ever made! We stayed at the bar and shared a few drinks together.  Talked about everything from where we grew up, to what college we went to, to what we want to do in the future.  It must have went great because I got a pretty solid smooch outside.

A bunch of dates later and a trip to the adirondacks I knew she was the one!  It was our summer vacation in the mountains and I knew that was the place I was going to ask her to marry me.  I made the plans and got the ring...
